PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a highly non-reactive and pure thermoplastic fluoropolymer produced by the polymerization of vinylidene difluoride. PVDF exhibits exceptional tensile strength, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and heat resistance. The PVDF sheets offered at DoonX® have excellent weathering properties, high dielectric strength, and resistance to UV radiation, making them ideal for outdoor applications.

DoonX® offers PVDF in white and black colors and maintains the material in stock for expedited delivery. White and Black PVDF rods are also available here.

PVDF’s resistance to chemicals is outstanding. Exposure to acids, bases, and solvents such as hydrocarbons and alcohols has minimal effect on this property, which is crucial for applications in chemical processing and storage. Excellent electrical insulation properties qualify PVDF materials for use in high-performance electrical and electronic applications. PVDF maintains its properties over a wide temperature range and is among the most thermally stable of the fluoroplastics. A low water absorption characteristic allows PVDF parts to perform reliably in moist environments or those involving frequent changes in humidity.

Key Features of PVDF Material:

  • Excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents
  • Continuous use temperature of 150°C
  • UV and radiation resistance
  • Consistent performance in harsh environments
