Durostone® Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Sheets are typically a dark brown or black color. These high-performance laminates are continuous glass fiber reinforced with a thermoset resin system. Durostone resins are among the most durable and heat-resistant plastics in industrial applications, primarily because their thermal stability is exceptional, rendering them outstanding for high-temperature environments.

Beyond their thermal properties, Durostone resins exhibit great dimensional stability (expansion is usually less than 0.1 percent) and superior flame-retardant properties. Durostone has extremely high mechanical strength, good electrical insulation properties, and excellent chemical resistance, both in acidic and alkaline conditions.

Durostone has good mechanical properties plus high resistance to wear, corrosion, creep, and most organic solvents. It is recommended for use where good mechanical properties are needed under harsh chemical or thermal conditions.

These sheets are available in various thicknesses and can be machined to customer specifications with tight tolerances.
